The garden-centric, prix-fixe menu is highlighted by the Chef’s Garden Harvest, featuring a shared platter of seasonal small bites, followed by a Farmers’ Market Salad for the table and a selection of a hearty main course.

Each dish showcases fresh, seasonal ingredients meticulously sourced from both our on-site Chef’s Garden and local purveyors along the central coast. Immerse yourself in the vibrant tastes of the season that offer a true reflection of our Big Sur surroundings. It is our pleasure to accommodate most dietary preferences or restrictions. Simply let us know in advance so that we are able to better serve you. In addition, a special Vegan menu is available for your enjoyment. Advance reservations are recommended. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks are available in our in-room dining menu. Breakfast offers a full, cooked-to-order menu while lunch and snacks are available all day until 9pm. Dinner can be ordered from the Expanded Ranch Dinner menu or the in-room dining menu.

Sierra Mar currently offers more than 3200 wine selections, focusing on the region we call home, the Santa Lucia Highlands, along with our neighbors, the Santa Cruz Mountains and Paso Robles. We also have a deep cellar of Burgundy and Bordeaux from other championed wine regions to keep palates engaged.

Chef Reylon Agustin is the Director of Culinary for Post Ranch Inn and Sierra Mar. Chef Reylon comes to Big Sur from Madera in Menlo Park, California where, as the Executive Chef, he and his team earned and maintained a one-star rating from the Michelin Guide. A California native, Chef Reylon’s career has taken him around the world, spending time in San Francisco studying under Chef and Restauranteur Traci Des Jardins and Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in London to name a few. Along with Executive Chef, Il Hoon Kang, the culinary program at Post Ranch will be in excellent hands for years to come.
Chef Il Hoon Kang is the Executive Chef of Post Ranch Inn and Sierra Mar. Chef Hoon’s culinary approach is driven by pragmatism as well as curiosity, presenting ingredients simply with thoughtful and often surprising combinations. Having joined Post Ranch Inn from Michelin-starred Madera in Menlo Park, California, Chef Hoon worked as the Executive Sous Chef and Chef de Cuisine alongside current Director of Culinary, Chef Reylon Agustin. He’s held top positions at other notable restaurants, including Commis in Oakland (one Michelin star), The Restaurant at Meadowood in St. Helena (three Michelin stars), and Auberge Resort’s Calistoga Ranch in Calistoga. CHEF’S GARDEN & EDIBLE TOUR
Discover our exquisite Chef’s Garden, located down in the meadow, where you’ll find an array of fresh vegetables, fruit, herbs and flowers in bloom. Many of these foraged delights find their way onto your plate in Sierra Mar, while several of the medicinal plants and flowers are used in our signature spa products.
Throughout the week, guests are invited to join us for a complimentary Edible Tour of the Chef’s Garden. Our master gardener leads you through the garden to learn more about our unique specialty crops and growing techniques, providing tastes along the way.

These past few years we’ve worked with leading global experts to ensure that our dining room sets the standard for safety. Here’s what we’ve been up to.
A new state-of-the-art, medical-grade ventilation system completely replenishes the dining room with fresh, Big Sur air up to six times per hour.
Several ultra-efficient Mila HEPA air purifiers have been placed throughout Sierra Mar. Table-top air purifiers from Wynd create a bubble of purified air at each table.
We have heated, outdoor seating on the Sierra Mar patio for those that prefer to dine outside. Enjoy refreshing drinks or a delicious meal next to the warmth of the firepit and the fresh Big Sur breeze.
The efforts made in Sierra Mar to reduce the risks associated with indoor dining have set the standard in the restaurant industry.
