What To Expect During Your Stay

Post Ranch is now open and welcoming all guests! As always, the health and well-being of our guests and staff is our top priority. Below is a current list of the changes and enhancements we’ve made to help you better understand what you will experience the next time you visit Post Ranch. General Property Information

  • Post Ranch is now open and welcoming all guests.

  • To ensure the health and safety of our guests, all staff members must perform daily wellness checks and guests are required to review a short welcome video upon arrival and confirm they meet our wellness criteria.

  • Post Ranch property access is limited to overnight guests and staff only. The entire property is now reserved for the exclusive use of Post Ranch Inn registered guests only. No outside vendors are able to access the property.

  • We have retained a leading expert on indoor environmental air quality to ensure that the air quality in all indoor spaces will be of the highest possible level.

  • We will be adopting the government guidelines for face coverings, social distancing, and sanitization. Complimentary face coverings will be available for any guests who request one.

  • In an effort to be a cash-free property, guests will be able to opt into our suggested gratuity program at the time of booking. This information will be reviewed and confirmed at check-in.

Arrival and Departure

  • Upon arrival, check-in will be expedited to minimize contact.

  • Guest check-out is 12:00 noon, and check-in is 4:00pm.

  • For the safety of our guests and staff, we ask that guests self-park their car. Bell staff will assist in getting both guests and their luggage to the room.

  • All Post Ranch vehicles will be sanitized before and after any guests occupy the vehicles.

  • Guests will receive their final bill via email the night prior to departure. A visit to the Front Desk will not be necessary at check-out, unless you have questions regarding your bill.

Post Ranch Signature Disinfection and Hygiene Solution

Rather than use bleach or other toxic chemicals to disinfect, Post Ranch set out to find a disinfection and cleaning solution that stayed true to our environmental ethos. After a comprehensive search, Post Ranch has implemented a two-step disinfection program that works to purify the air and renders surfaces self-disinfecting in a non-toxic, sustainable and healthful manner. The solution meets CDC and EPA guidelines, is Green Seal-certified and provides an odorless, non-toxic, hospital-grade disinfecting and cleaning system. 

  • The solution purifies the air and renders surfaces self-disinfecting in a non-toxic, sustainable and healthful manner.

  • The program utilizes the non-toxic, EPA-approved ECA Water* to disinfect and will be used in all guestrooms and public spaces frequently throughout the day. It will also be administered in our vehicles.

We strive to provide our guests with the highest level of personalized service and attention, while also respecting personal space and safety. To that end, we will be integrating some of the housekeeping services that are traditionally carried out during both daily service and evening turndown service into a Requested Service-Only model, eliminating many steps where staff would typically need to enter a guest’s room. Prior to arrival, we will stock each room for the entirety of the guest’s stay and be available on call for the delivery of additional linens, bathroom amenities, mini-bar items, and firewood deliveries as well as the removal of trash and room service items. Certain items, including the mini-bar and coffee makers, will be completely replaced prior to guests entering the room. We have also eliminated all magazines and collateral material, and have thoroughly disinfected all items in the room.

Meals and Enhanced Dining Options

  • Monterey County has recently placed a restriction on indoor dining in all restaurants. As such, dining at Sierra Mar will take place outside on the deck, pending weather. The deck offers open-air dining along with cozy heaters, allowing guests to dine outdoors comfortably and safely. As an alternative, guests may enjoy their meals in the comfort of the guestroom either inside next to the fireplace or outdoors on the private patio or deck.

  • To minimize our waste footprint and to comply with recommended physical distance protocols, all food will be delivered in
    compostable packaging.

  • Complimentary breakfast offers a full service, cooked-to-order experience and can be enjoyed either outdoors on the deck at Sierra Mar or in the guestroom.

  • Lunch and all-day snacks can be delivered to the guestroom or to any other location around the property.

  • Dinner can be enjoyed outdoors on the deck at Sierra Mar or in the guestroom. All rooms offer suitable outdoor patios or decks on which to enjoy meals.

  • For your safety and convenience, all in-room dining deliveries will include a contactless check and a suggested gratuity of $10 per breakfast delivery and 20% for lunch, dinner and all other in-room dining orders will be added.

Swimming and Basking Pools

  • Lounge chairs at each of the pools will be separated by at least 6 feet to allow for physical distancing.

  • Pool service will be available at all pools, as attendants will be regularly monitoring and sanitizing the pool areas.

Spa and Activities

  • The Post Ranch Spa is now open and operating safely per Monterey County guidelines. Spa services are available in any of our four treatment rooms.

  • To prioritize the health and well-being of both our guests and team members, we are offering a modified menu of spa services and have reduced the capacity of our treatment areas.

  • In compliance with the mandatory California order, both guests and therapists are required to wear masks for the entirety of all spa treatments.

  • Due to high demand, spa appointments tend to fill up quickly and we are unable to guarantee last-minute availability. Advance reservations are required for all spa services and we strongly recommend making your reservations at least 4-6 weeks in advance.

  • We offer a myriad of complimentary outdoor guest activities including yoga and meditation, hikes, property walks, our falconry program (fee) and more, weather permitting. Days and times for each activity vary and are subject to availability. Advanced reservations are required for all activities and are subject to appropriate social distancing guidelines.

Post Ranch 6 Pillars of Healthy Living™ Program

  • To help guests cope with the stress and anxiety they have experienced as a consequence of the pandemic, Post Ranch has partnered with BlueWave Medicine and its founder, renowned integrative medicine physician, Dr. Brad Jacobs, MD MPH, to present a program revolving around his 6 Pillars of Healthy Living™. The program, presented in conjunction with Kristine Huffman, LICSW, is designed to help guests deal with stress and anxiety, improve resiliency & mental clarity, optimize restorative sleep, and experience the healing quality of outdoor activities and exercise.

  • The program includes complimentary live presentations conducted virtually throughout the week by Dr. Jacobs, Huffman and other noted physicians and health practitioners in such areas as stress reduction, sleep, healthy eating and more. To supplement the program’s principles, guests are invited to take advantage of a myriad of optional outdoor wellness and stress reduction experiences, many of which are complimentary, while some are fee-based private sessions.
